Studio Terms & Conditions of  Use

  • The Studio Manager warrants that the studio is as represented herein.

  • These Terms & Conditions apply regardless of whether Studio staff is present to open and/or close the premises after the hire or not.

Fees and Payment

  • Pay by bank transfer (BSB 633000, A/c # 132615808, Hire and Fire Studios) or credit card (2% surcharge applies).

  • Payment must be made in full before hire. Extra time on day must be paid for within 48 hours of hire end. After hours or extra time billed at hourly rate (no part hours).

  • Refundable $60 bond to be paid with hire fee & returned in full within 7 days if all in good order after hire, including cleaning & any repairs to equipment not as a result of normal wear and tear.

  • Full refund for cancellation 2 business days before hire. 50% refund for cancellations 24 hours before hire, no refund if cancellation within 12 hours. Rescheduling permitted twice without further charge.

  • Student discounts will only be given to those with current student ID cards.

Use

  • Studio hours: 8am to 6pm, 6 days/week.

  • All hirers must provide ID, email address and mobile phone number for security purposes. There are no exceptions.

  • Any equipment malfunction, breakage or accident must be reported immediately the incident occurs. Failure to do so will result in retention of bond.

  • The studio must be left in the same state of cleanliness and tidiness as you found it. Overflowing rubbish bins, spills or marks on benches or surfaces or debris from the shoot must be cleaned and removed prior to leaving studio.

  • Animals under strict control are permitted, but any associated mess must be cleaned prior to hire finish. All cleaning gear is either behind the studio entry door or under the sink in reception.

Prohibitions

  • No shoes on white section of studio floor unless soles are taped or cleaned. If floor is damaged or requires painting due to excessive marks, the bond will be retained to cover costs.

  • The studio and all areas within the building are strictly no smoking.

Release

  • The hirer uses the studio at their own risk, including as to theft, loss or damage of goods in the studio.
